CHICO NUTS WIN BACK TO BACK FALL TOURNAMENTS: FOOTHILL FALL TOURNEY AND 12TH ANNUAL FALL CLASSIC
the Chico Nuts won back to back tournaments, winning the Foothill Fall Tourney and the Chico 12th Annual Fall Classic. The Nuts went undefeated (8-0) over the two tournaments.
FOOTHILL
The Nuts opened te tournament with a hard fought win over host Foothill High School. Luke Barker pitched six solid innings, allowing 3 hits and striking out eight batters. Tyler Clark was one for two with two runs and a double. Game 2 was a 10-1 victory over Susanville. Cory Louber pitched five innings for the win and Quinn Sullivan, Brandon Coborn, and Casey Hughes each collected two hits. Game three on Sunday was a 6-3 victory over the Eureka Falcons. Zach Korte pitched five innings of no hit baseball for the win, and Kyle Santuccio pitched two scoreless innings of relief.
The championship game was a 3-1 victory over the Red Bluff Rebels, led by a tremendous effort by Andy Amaro who pitched a complete game giving up three hits and striking out ten batters. Tyler Clark, Brandon Coborn and Casey Hughes led the offense, each collecting a hit, with Coborn and Clark driving in runs.

FALL CLASSIC
The Chico Nuts went undefeated to win the 12th Annual Fall Classic held october 3-4 at Doryland Field. The Nuts defeated the Reno Rebels 8-0 in the championship game.
The Nuts opened the tourney with a 14-0 defeat of Redding. Riley Cox threw a complete game two hit shutout, striking out seven in five innings. Tyler Clark drove in two runs, And Andy Amaro drove in three to lead the offense. The Nuts followed that with a tight 5-3 defeat of Grass Valley, with Cory Louber earning the victory with three solid inning of relief and Quinn Sullivan earning the save with a perfect seventh inning.Brandon Coborn was 3x4 with a triple.
Sunday's schedule began with a 11-3 victory over Yuba City. Andy Amaro pitched a complete game for the victory.Brandon Coborn stayed hot with two more hits, while Quinn Sullivan added two hits and two rbi's. The championship game had the Nuts facing the Reno Rebels. Luke Barker was nearly perfect, allowing one hit, striking out seven, and walking none in 5 innings. Tyler Clark and Casey Hughes each drove in two runs, and Kurt Laver collected three hits.
