TOM STEVENS
Head Coach
15th Year
Coach Stevens is beginning his 15th season as the Head Coach for the Chico Nuts and the Director for Chico American Legion Baseball. During that time he has accumulated an overall record of 492-220 (.690) and won nine district championships and five Norcal League Titles.
During that time period the Chico Nuts have dramatically increased the number of players moving on to play college or professional baseball. Currently 76% of Chico Nuts players are moving on to the next level of baseball.
Stevens is also the head baseball coach at Los Molinos High School where he has coached for 15 years. He has also worked as an associate scout for the Milwaukee Brewers and the San Francisco Giants. He is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and grew up in Quartz Hill, California. |

BRIAN THOMAS
Assistant Coach
5th Year
Coach Thomas begins his fifith season as the pitching coach for the Chico Nuts. He currently is the pitching coach for Butte College, and was also the head coach for the Chico Rice.
Brian played for two years at Chico State, where he received All-American honors as well as Co- MVP. After Chico coach Thomas then played one year of professional baseball with the Yuma Bullfrogs in the WBL.
Brian graduated in 2006 from Chico State University, Chico with a B.A. in Kinesiology. He is currently working on his teaching credential at CSU Chico. |

ANDY QUIRING
Assistant Coach
1st Season
Andy begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Chico Nuts. He played for the Chico Nuts, where he became the Nuts All Time hits leader after three years with the Nuts and six years in the program. He moved on to play at Feather River College and then Oregon State.
Andy has also spent the last two years playing semi pro baseball during the summer seasons. In 2009 he played locally for the Yuba Gold Sox, and in 2010 he played for the Wenatchee AppleSox of the West Coast league in Washington.
